Tackle It Tuesday

Tackle It Tuesday Meme

This past weekend I finally got around to tackling something that has been LONG overdue. And when I say LONG - I mean LONG!

This weekend I tackled my hair! Yes - some might not think that is a big deal. Well - it was. I haven't had my hair cut for at least 4 years or more (I really can't remember). All I know is I had my last two babies and just really lost interest in taking care of myself. I didn't realize how long my hair was getting until about 6 months ago. That was around the time I began having neck pains and noticed my head would automatically drop to one side. I guess the weight of my hair was too much for my tiny head to handle.

~~~~Before - This is the way I always wore it - up in a bun.
~~~~After~~~~

I am brave - I realize these are not the best pictures. Thanks for baring with me.

Ditto Amanda. First time visitor thanks to Crystal. I recently did the same thing and blogged about it. I get mine cut about every 3-4 years, and because I hate parting with my money (even more than my hair!) I donated mine and the haircut was FREE! (No more over-priced salon and outrageous tipping!) Your hair looks great, and your smile says it all!

How cute are you?! You look beautiful with the new do - good for you for being brave. Just found you via Crystal @ MSM, and I will definitely be back on a regular basis. Anyone who has 5 kids and still has time to find bargains and blog about them is my hero.

Thanks everyone for all the complements! It really does make a difference and yes - my head is much much lighter - no more neck strains.

The cut looks lovely on you! It can be traumatic to get even just a few inches cut off for some people so huge kudos to you for not only making the jump, but diving right into the deep end of the pool. What a brave gal you are!

Did you donate your hair to Locks of Love?!

Yes. I did donate to the LOL although I wasn't sure about it. About 4 or 5 inches was nothing but split ends. But the girl that cut my hair said they could send it in anyways, it wouldn't hurt and if they can't use it they sell it to other places.

My 2nd oldest daughter on the other hand has GORGOUSE hair. It's straight and blond and so pretty. She has let it grow long and has gotten it cut to donate about 4 or 5 times now.
